Tour Details

The Thalle La Trek in Baltistan offers an incredible experience through one of Pakistan’s most picturesque mountain passes, the Thalle Pass (4,572m). This 10-13 days trek connects the Shigar and Khaplu valley, offering breathtaking views and cultural encounters. Starting from Islamabad, you will fly to Skardu, witnessing the grandeur of the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges from above, including peaks like K2, Broad Peak, and Nanga Parbat.

In Skardu, the gateway to numerous mountain adventures, you’ll explore local attractions such as Sadpara Lake and Kharpocho Fort. Your journey continues to Khaplu, where you’ll stay in the historic Khaplu Fort and visit the Chaqchan Mosque and local bazaar. The trek begins at Thalle Village, guiding you through stunning landscapes until you reach Shigar. Here, you’ll stay in the luxurious Shigar Fort, a former royal residence.

The return to Islamabad includes another scenic flight, ensuring a memorable conclusion to your trek. The Thalle La Trek not only offers spectacular natural beauty but also the warmth and hospitality of the Baltistan Valley, making it a journey you’ll cherish forever.

  • Drive along the Indus and Shyok rivers to Khaplu.
  • Visit Khaplu Bazar and the Chaqchan Mosque.
  • Stay in the historical Khaplu Palace.

Day 4Thalle Village to Shigar (Trek Begins)

  • Drive to Thalle Village to start the trek.
  • Trekking session begins towards Shigar.
  • Overnight stay in Shigar Fort.

Day 5-8Thalle La Trek

  • Trekking through the Karakoram Mountains.
  • Camp under the stars during the trek.
  • Explore the natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Day 9Shigar to Islamabad

  • Drive back to Skardu airport.
  • Flight back to Islamabad.
